Jumping on the bandwagon!
I think the pic on the left I have posted on here before, but it’s the only childhood photo that I happen to have internet access to (thanks, random old friend from middle school who took the time to scan and post this on Facebook!)
And then, on the right, not so much a “childhood” photo, but me at 16 or 17, looking every bit the preppy popular kid I was NOT (I was a loser. I don’t know how this is possible either, but it is. However the bulk of “popular” kids still reside in hometown and work at, like, the local gas station. So. IT GETS BETTER.)
And now, as I sit here at 28, sixteen certainly feels like childhood.
When did I grow up?
Will I ever grow up?
*Edited to add: I realize I do not have bangs in either of these photos, but rest assured they happened and are documented on film somewhere. Perhaps someday you’ll see them. And maybe, if you’re extra-special-lucky, I’ll bust out the PERM PICS, TOO. Cause yes, that also happened. Oh the eighties.
